Slugger Baseball
The first sport to ever hit a professional status in the United States is baseball. Today, baseball is watched, followed, and played by millions of Americans all across the country. There are currently 30 teams active in Major League Baseball, the official association for the sport. Among these 30 teams is a famous team that houses two players whose jerseys are the best selling in the MLB shop. The New York Yankees name started in 1913, and now is one of the most popular teams in the league. The two jerseys that are best selling are those of Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter. Both players have achieved numerous milestones in their careers, events that have boosted the sales of their respective jerseys.
Alex Rodriguez made his professional debut in 1994 with the Seattle Mariners. Ten years later, in 2004, he joined the New York Yankees. In all, he has earned 12 All Star selections and 10 Silver Slugger awards. Rodriguez was the youngest player ever to break the 500 home run mark. The Alex Rodriguez Yankees jersey is the famous striped jersey for the home jersey, and a gray jersey with New York printed on the front. Rodriguez’s number is 13. Under the Yankees, Alex Rodriguez has earned two MVP titles and numerous All Star selections. Despite several events which has drawn floods of criticism, he is considered one of the best all-around baseball players in history.
Derek Jeter was part of the Yankees reign, which brought the team four World Series titles from 1996 to 2000. He debuted professionally in 1995 for the Yankees, and has been a player for them ever since. In this time, Jeter has obtained 10 All Star selections and numerous MVP titles and other awards. His jersey is also the same as that of Alex Rodriguez, and sells just as hot as well. Jeter is currently the player with the fifth highest batting average among the active players. He is also the 74th player to hit 2600 times. At the same time, he hit his 1500th run, the fourth Yankee in history.
Out of the many baseball players and jerseys available, the jerseys of Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez are definitely the most popular and have sold well over the last few years. These two best selling MLB sports jerseys are also the most duplicated. Be sure to check for any legitimacy issues. As with any jersey that isn’t from an official dealer, check for the MLB logo on the jersey, proper stitching, and other signs of replica jerseys.
